Application Process for Shoreline Scholars

Step 1

Complete admission and scholarship applications

  1. Complete Shoreline Community College’s online admission application. Make sure you indicate enrollment for the fall quarter immediately following high school graduation.
  2. Download and complete the Shoreline Scholars application
  3. Shoreline Scholars 2017 applications open Feb. 16, 2017, priority deadline May 16, 2017; final deadline September 6, 2017.

Step 2

Compile your academic records

  • Home school students
    • In addition to the items above, submit proof of home school registration status such as the intent-to-home school form.

Step 3

Complete financial-need documents

Eligible students with an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of $7,000 or less on the FAFSA are likely to qualify for a full Shoreline Scholars scholarship. Reduced scholarships are possible with a slightly higher EFC. In order for the college to determine if you are qualified to meet the financial need requirement* of the Shoreline Scholars Program, you must:

  • Complete and submit the FAFSA  (or WASFA if HB1079 eligible) online.
    • Start this process early as it can take several days to complete.
    • Be sure to include the Shoreline Community College School Code: 003791.
      • If you have already completed your FAFSA or WASFA, please make sure that you go back into the form and include the Shoreline Community College School Code: 003791.
    • When your information is completed, you will get a confirmation from FAFSA and Shoreline Community College.
    • When you deliver your application materials, a college official will check online to make sure your FAFSA or WASFA has been submitted.

Notes:  Receiving the Shoreline Scholars award does not jeopardize the recipient for other forms of aid.
* In some cases, less than full tuition may be awarded based on the required federal financial aid calculation of need.

Step 4

Hand-deliver all application materials during regular business hours at:

Shoreline Community College
FOSS 5000 Building, Enrollment Services
16101 Greenwood Ave. N.
Shoreline, WA 98133

Upon delivery, applications will be immediately reviewed for completeness. Incomplete or late applications are not accepted.
