Military Credits Procedure

Shoreline Community College follows the recommendations of the American Council on Education (ACE) when evaluating military training and education records. Typically, a student veteran pursuing a transfer degree may earn a maximum of 15-credits in the form of restricted electives for prior military training & service. Student veterans pursuing professional/technical degrees are referred to the faculty in their program for an evaluation of military credits on a case-by-case basis. It is sometimes possible to award credit for military service that is directly applicable to the intended professional/technical degree.

The Department of Veteran Affairs requires that all student veterans submit an official military transcript to Shoreline Community College for evaluation if you plan to utilize your GI Bill® benefits.
