Meet Our Staff
The Services for Students with Disabilities staff are located in Student Support Programs, room 5226 of the FOSS (5000) Building. It is the program of Shoreline Community College that oversees the provision of reasonable accommodations/academic adjustments for students with disabilities on an individual, case-by-case basis.
Sarah has held many hourly positions in a variety of departments on campus. These include the Shoreline Community College Bookstore, the Dean of Students Office, and Veterans Programs. In October she was hired full time as the Program Assistant in Student Support Programs. Prior to working at Shoreline Community College, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for a retirement planning company. She has lived in Seattle her whole life and loves to spend time with her dog in the beautiful Northwest. She enjoys working here full time and looks forward to getting to know everyone a bit more.
Angela has been with the Services for Students with Disabilities for 7 years. She has seen the program through growth in student population, and expansion of services. A Shoreline local, Angela attended Shorewood High School and Shoreline Community College before earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Washington. Angela's commitment to accessibility in Shoreline's physical and digital infrastructure is represented by membership in the Accessibility Faculty Learning Community, Web Workgroup, Technology Committee, and the ADA Committee. Angela also informs her practice by keeping abreast of policy changes from the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, as well as developments from Accessible Technology in Higher Education (ATHEN) and the Washington Association of Postsecondary Education and Disability (WAPED), where she served on the board for 3 years. Angela is an avid cyclist, and advisor of the college Hiking Club.
